Ronald Eugene Ray

66, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015. He was born on September 20, 1948 in Beech Grove, IN to the late Clifford E. and Gertrude M. (Blair) Ray. Ron was a 1966 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. Ron worked as an Electric Motor Repairman for Scherer Electric which became Horner Electric, until 2009, a total of 43 years. He enjoyed riding his Yamaha Motorcycles, and was President of the Indy AdVentures Motorcycle Club from 1987-1988. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 0510 and enjoyed open wheel racing. Ron and his wife, Beverly K. (Mitchell) Ray, also enjoyed camping and traveling together in their RV; they were married 46 years. Ron and Beverly would like to thank all of the "Angels" at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital for their tender care. Memorial contributions may be given to the Community Foundation Fund or the American Heart Association

Debbie and I are so sorry to hear the news of Ron's passing. We still think back to the good times spent with you two. The memories we have of Ron playing DJ at our wedding will always be special to us. If you need anything at all, please let us know.

Ronny was a warm wonderful man to know. His love and devotion to Bev, his family and his friends knew no bounds. It was an honor and a privilege to know him. He will be greatly missed.. Godspeed and rest his much loved soul.
