Rosemarie DaPuzzo Obituary
age 82, a longtime resident of Indianapolis, passed away August 6th, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Haney. Rosie was the youngest child. She was preceded in death by her brothers; Mike and Jack along with her sisters; Patricia and Catherine. She will join her husband, James A. DaPuzzo Jr. who passed in 2006. She is survived by her sons, Vincent Michael DaPuzzo, James A. DaPuzzo III and his wife Cathy, and sons Drew and Patrick.
Rosemarie graduated in 1952 from St. Agnes Academy and in 1956 from Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio with a degree in Nursing. She was a nurse at St. Francis Hospital, Central Indiana Regional Blood Bank, and retired from St. Vincent Center for Healthy Aging. Rosie was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church and St. Agnes Alumni Group.
Rosie lived a life of service to her family, in her job as a nurse, and to the groups she volunteered for within the Indianapolis community. The family would like to thank the Staff of Brookdale at Willow Lake for the wonderful care Rosie received the last four years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 12th, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Luke Catholic Church. Family and friends will gather Thursday, August 11th from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel. Additional visitation will be held Friday morning in the church from 10:30 to 11:20 a.m. with a Rosary at 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. You are invited to visit the website www.leppertmortuary.com where you may share a personal memory of Rosie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial contribution to the Alzheimer's Association.
