Rowena Rhodes Currin Wells
86, Indianapolis, passed away on January 30, 2014. She was born August 25, 1927, daughter of the late John and Susie Currin. She was a faithful member of Eastside Baptist Church for 56 years until she became ill. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Joseph Wells; daughters, Lola Held and Suellen Burnett; sons, Robert, James and Carl Wells, brother-in-law, Payton Wells; sisters, Lola Grooms, Audrey McClung, Carol Johnson, and Doloris Moore; brothers, John, Jerome, Russell and Vernon Currin; 27 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services and calling will be held at Eastside Baptist Church, 2845 Baltimore Avenue, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 8; with calling Friday, February 7, from 5 - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
