It is with the greatest of sadness that I hear today of the passing of my friend, my colleague, my mentor, my orthodontist, Dr. Steve Bailie.

I shall remember him for his dedication to his patients, for his sharpness of mind, for his inventiveness, for his humour, and for his generosity of spirit. Not a working day goes by when I do not ask myself " would Steve have done it this way?. I will miss him greatly.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to Barbara and his family.

I will always have a fond place in my heart for Steve. He was the first specialist who knocked on my door when I opened my practice, and remained a trusted mentor for my entire dental career. He was truly a special man... The world has lost one of the great ones. Steve, I will miss you. Dave

Dr. Bailie was so kind. He was my orthodontist when I was in high school in 1987 and 1988. Then, after I was married I was in a car accident and lost all of my front teeth. I went to him to find out where to go and he directed me to his personal dentist. He was so kind and went above and beyond always. My prayers are with his family for the loss of a wonderful person.

So, so many great memories. I absolutely loved going to work everyday. When you sold your practice, I truly mourned for the workplace I'd known for 16 yrs. SKB as we called you, oh so much fun we all had. I will always be thankful for being able to have that in my life. I just have to end this by saying "I need a bucket, someone get me a bucket"! Thank you for being a great boss. My years working with you and "the girls" are some of the best I can remember. Thank you for thanking me at the end of every work day-it really meant a lot to me. Thank you for making our work weeks such that we had time for our families as well as our work. You have a such a wonderful wife and family and I was glad you shared them with all of us.
