I just heard this very terrible news. Dr. Donaghue was an outstanding dentist who cared for all of his patients. He was a gentle soul. I am saddened to hear of his passing.

I met Jimmy when we were 5 years old, we lived next door to each other. We played & grew up together. We had a great childhood! I lost touch when our parents died, their houses sold, and we lived in different areas. I was very sad to hear the news. I was lucky to have called him friend.

Oh no ...
Lorraine - This is Pat McAndrew. Just heard a while ago from a friend who is a patient. I cut the lawn for you guys for 12 yrs. Dr Donaghue was so approachable and he helped me in such a huge way to transform my smile. I am forever grateful. He used to tease me asking loads of questions about Ireland while my mouth was wide open and I couldn't answer ! Thinking of you and the boys and hoping you have the strength to get through this. So sorry, Pat McAndrew.

Dr Donahue was my dentist of over ten years; but besides being my dentist, his consistent excellent bedside manner has left an indelible mark on me. Dr. Donahue had a unique and sincere kind, gentle, and affirming manner about him; always taking the time to closely listen to his patients and respect their humanity (i.e., When I came in for a dental appointment shortly after my father's funeral). I will miss Dr. Donahue dearly. I extend my deepest and heartfelt condolences to his family and the amazing staff at the dental practice. My thoughts and prayers go with you all.
Warmly, Rhoda Scott

My Mom & I have been patients of Dr. Donaghue's for many, many years. Nobody looks forward to going to the dentist but for me going wasn't bad at all. I always enjoyed joking with Dr. Donaghue about riding a particular roller coaster & he took great care of my teeth. I told my boyfriend just last night that I will never switch dentists & I'm going to stay true to my word. My thoughts & prayers as well as my Mom's are with his entire family as well as his staff. Finally to you Dr. Donaghue, thank you for being a great dentist & for always making me laugh. RIP

Our family have been patients of Dr. Donaghue for over 20 years since our children went for their first checkups. He was a very warm, friendly and caring man whom we're all better for having known. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

The best dentist i ever had. Not because he made my teeth look great. Because he was always kind, honest and calming. Rest in peace

The thoughts and prayers from the McGonigle Family are with you. Dr. Donaghue has been a part of our lives for over 25 years. My parents went to his father, and my brother and sister and I have been going to him since high school. I will always remember how well he took a joke at his expense, and how will he could give it back! May he rest in peace, and may God bless you with comfort and strength.

I am extremely saddened to hear about the passing of Dr. Donaghue. He was one of my preclinical faculty at Penn Dental, and his kind words of advice both about dentistry and life resonate in my memory. His words were always profound. He wore a smile each day from ear to ear. His passion for dentistry and teaching was overflowing, as he was always the faculty member you wanted to go to because you wanted to learn from him. He will truly be missed amongst the Penn family. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his loved ones at this time.
