I am very sorry to hear about Mrs. Scanlon's passing. I will always remember her as one of the Great Ladies of Kensington in the days when Kensington was a great place to live and raise a family.
I will keep her family in my prayers.

Courageous. Sense of humor. Quick to laugh. Never at a loss for words. Tough and transparent. Street smart with a wonderful hint of kind heartedness. I think it is hard to describe Aunt Agnes, but she was a wonderful memory and inspiration to me as I grew up, and remains at a very warm place in my heart. Visits to her house were always something I looked forward to happening. Visits to our house always brought fun and laughter. Stories to be told, lessons to be learned, Aunt Agnes always found time to talk with us as kids, even when adults were having adult conversations. Just a great lady who lived life and the challenges life brought to her very well. I am honored to be her nephew!
As for my cousins, I know you all have lost a true force in your lives, but for the loss you will feel, you have all been blessed with Aunt Agnes' courage, wisdom, experience, sense of humor, inspiration and love. I can see her spirit in you all, and if you look in the mirror, you will see her in your heart and soul every day. In these dark days, remember to smile and think of the fun and laughter you had with this wonderful lady, and know that she, like many we know, is in heaven looking out for us all. Her spirit will be with all of us, as we cry for her loss, but smile for all of our fond memories of her. Rest in Peace, Aunt Agnes...you will be missed and loved forever.
