I miss you everyday!

I am so sorry for your loss. Buck was a kind and big hearted man that would go out of his way for anyone. My belated sympathies to his family and friends.

Dearest Aunt Connie and cherished cousins,

How lucky were we to have our lives touched by such a wonderful man.
Uncle Bucky was such a strong and solid presence during our childhood and adult lives. Not only was he the person that you could always count on, but he encouraged you to charged forward regardless of the obstacles that were set in your path.
Uncle Bucky's adventurous spirit was contagious and opened the window for all of us to think outside of the box. He made us realize that nothing was beyond our grasp - and getting there could be and enjoyable experience!

The love that he felt for his family was always present. You were reassured of this fact by the "nickname" that he had for each one of us. He said them with a twinkle in his eye and a slight crooked smile. He thought that he was " teasing" us with some of these names, but we knew that they were said with the deepest of love and affection. This is one of the things I will miss the most.

Bucky was not only proud of his family but also of his country and served them both well. Uncle Bucky loved being a Marine and his dedication never wavered. It was an honor to call him "Colonel". A title he well deserved.

His passing is a void for you and the rest of the family and friends, but the stories and legacy of this wonderful man will remain in our hearts forever and a day.

With caring and loving thoughts,
Your cousin,
Linda Thackray- Schmeusser

Bucky & I go back over 50 years. Back in the day he was the most respected crane operators in Philadelphia & the surrounding areas. It was hard to send a crane out without him running it because of the requests. Later my husband Bill & Frank worked along side him for many years. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. Sincerely, Mollie Barney

Uncle Buck,
Thanks for being a great Uncle to me.
I was lucky to have you for all of my life.
Only I know what you did for me, taught me
everything I know. I was your "sidekick" for years.
We did many things together and when my buddies and I got in trouble we would call "Uncle Buck" and he would know what to do. They Loved You too !
When the time came to serve our country there was only one choice- The Marines.
Buck,
you taught me to never back down from anyone or anything-a lesson I live in my life just like you.
It's so fitting that you chose the "Wounded Warrior" project for your
memorial. You always took care of your Men and "had their backs"
I love you and will miss you but I know you will be waiting there for me.

Uncle Buck,
Thanks for being a wonderful Uncle to me. I was lucky to have you for all of my life. Only I know what you did for me along the way. You taught me everything I know as I was your "sidekick" for years .We did many things together; when in trouble my buddies and I knew to call "Uncle Buck".
They all Love you too !
So, when the time came to serve our country, there was only one choice-
THE MARINES like Uncle Buck.
You taught me to never back down from anything or anyone. That lesson I learned for life and business.
You taught me to be a Man.
I always tried to be like you, but there was only one Uncle Buck.
Yes, you were a great leader of men. You made those under your command feel at ease because they knew you were there to cover their backs. You were the
Sgt. Striker of Iwo Jima fame.
It's fitting that you named
"Wounded Warrior Foundation" for your Memorial as you were always a Patriot.
I salute you as a Man and my Uncle !
I miss you but I know you will always be by my side.
