I just heard of Drew's passing and wish to express my condolences to the family. He worked with me on his first day in the 14th District, and I always enjoyed working with him for the many years he worked there. He was a great police officer. So glad I got to know him.

Andy was a gentle giant of a man, he always had a story to tell and loved the history channel. I had the pleasure to supervise Andy while we were at South Street Mini station..he was a great cop and a great friend, he will be missed.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. The members of our CopNET family would like to thank Officer Andrew McDonald for his dedication and service to the citizens of Philadelphia. The passing of Drew will be broadcast to our 3055 members shortly and we would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family. His absence from our ranks will be deeply missed by the remaining members of Philadelphia’s Finest who were fortunate to have served with him during his police career. He will continue in our thoughts and prayers during our remaining days. "Until we meet again, may God Hold you in the palm of his hand. " . . .
Semper Fidelis.
