DEARDEN Anne Carrigan Age 91, of Bryn Mawr, wife of the late Edward Chapin Dearden, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. She is survived by her children Leigh D. Harvey (Roy), Douglas C. Dearden (Kathleen) and Susan Dearden Bryan (David). Also survived by grandchildren Nicholas Harvey (Maria), Christina Dearden, Kimberly Dearden Erickson (Chris), Michelle Bryan, Laura Bryan and Connor Bryan, and her 2 great-grandchildren Samuel Harvey and Elizabeth Harvey. She was preceded in death by her brother, Stokes B. Carrigan, III. Anne grew up in Wynnewood and graduated from The Baldwin School in 1951. She was involved in multiple activities throughout her life including completing a three-year Barnes Foundation Horticulture degree and serving as President of both the Mothers' Association and the Alumnae Association at The Baldwin School. She was a member of The Merion Cricket Club, The Union League, Little Egg Harbor Yacht Club, Suburban Garden Club and the Sedgeley Club on Boathouse Row. She was an avid gardener and loved flower arranging, music and playing bridge and other games. She has always enjoyed her life-long summers in Beach Haven, NJ and the extensive international travel she did with Edward. A Memorial Service is planned for 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 14 at Wayne United Methodist Church, 210 S. Wayne Ave., Wayne, where friends may call after 10:00 A.M. Interment will be private.
