I'm so saddened to be reading of the loss of Miss Anne. I was randomly doing an internet search to see if I could find her, thinking it would be fun to reconnect.

Wow, my mind is flooded with memories...she taught me how to play pinochle(and how to cheat! She was a GREAT partner), the amazing blue mustang, the room full of animals, her sitting with her hand raised waiting for everyone to be quiet. Most of all, I remember how she made me feel like an equal, that she treated me with a level of respect I hadn't experienced before...and that it shaped me in a way I may only now be realizing.

What a remarkable teacher, woman and friend. Thank you for all you gave me Miss Anne...because of that you will be with me always.

I just found out about Miss Anne's passing. She was my favorite teacher. I had her in 2nd, 3rd, 7th & 8th grade homeroom teacher. She went to school with my older brother Tom. They are the same age. She was way too young! I still remember her husband Monk and when he passed all those years ago. We should get a fund together to put a statue up in St. Alberts to honor her. Her family and friends should know how many people's lives she touched and influenced. I will never forget her.

I just found out about Anne's passing. I am really sad and sorry to hear that. She was always very friendly, patient and well informed and helped with all my questions about using or repairing my computer. She always went out of her way to help and all with a joke and a smile that although I did not see as all our interaction was over the phone or by email, I still was able to sense through her genuine interest in helping and her positive attitude and willingness to help and to share her knowledge. My condolences to her family and friends. She will always be alive in our memories and in our hearts.

I can remember pretty much the whole time I went to St Albert's that I wanted to get Miss Anne for my homeroon teacher when I got to 8th grade. I was so excited when I finally got her because I knew I would have a great year. I learned so much from her, I wouldnt even know where to begin. I became so close to her I almost hated to graduate and leave her. It was so much fun going to school every day and being in her class. Rest in Peace Miss Anne

I’m deeply sorry for the death of Miss Anne. If a person’s wealth is judged by the effect that they have had on others, then she as surely died as one of the wealthiest women in the world. She has had a tremendous affect on hundreds, if not thousands of her students. I have a Ph.D. in chemistry. I often tell others that it is largely due to the support and encouragement of a truly wonderful 7th and 8th grade science teacher. She had a way of making every student not only feel special, but be special. I’m still amazed that she was able to teach and motivate over 100 students, each working independently at their own pace. Whether it was art fares, volley ball, rocketry, dropping eggs from a helecopter (did we ever find out who owned that car :-) ) or learning from the menagerie in her class room , she always found new and exciting ways to engage her students. She will always have a place in our hearts. Just last week my son asked me a question about his high school biology. I was able to help him right away, from the teachings of Miss Anne.

God Bless Miss Anne

Miss Anne Incollingo was my first grade teacher in 1965 at St. Albert’s. Looking at her age it struck me that this was her first teaching assignment. And I was lucky enough to have her.
I later had her for 7th and 8th grade Science but she was now married.
The first time I saw her at the start of 7th grade, she looked right at me at said “Look it’s Peanut… she came back to me”. A nickname she gave me in First grade and she remembered it.

She had this way that made you feel very special..

I loved her classes and all her cool assignments.(ie: Rocket Launches, Egg Drops, Diaries of Nasa Space Launches). All the Animals. It was the highlight of my time at St. Albert’s. The truth is, she is the only Teacher I remembered vividly in all my years at St. Albert’s.

Through life I always talked about her and her classes to my husband. So much that he noticed her passing listed in the Inquirer to make a point I saw it.

It was the saddest day for me to see this. Many tears were shed. She was the coolest teacher. And I was lucky to have her. We all were.

If she only knew what an impact she had in my life as I became Computer Science Major and a career in the computer field and She was one too!!.

The world was blest with a wonderful, caring and creative teacher. She will be missed. I am really saddened for your loss. My prayers go out to Anne and her family.
God has a special treasure in his hands.

Miss Anne was such a special person in my childhood. She did so much more than teach me science. She taught me about life.

March 28, 2010

Miss Anne was the best teacher I have ever had. She taught me to be less critical of myself. While I was in 8th grade, she had us complete a journal. It is now 27 years later and I still have that journal. I found that journal last year when I moved and re-read the things she wrote about me. Her encouraging words were great to read again. She taught me how to be exact through peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, which I needed when I became an accountant. She also taught me the word phalanges. She use to come in every morning moving her fingers saying phalanges. I have taught my niece the word also.

I have so many great memories of Miss Anne's science class. She would organize rocket launches in the fields.Sometimes they would go so far we had to search for hours to find our rockets. She had so many gerbels that during the summer my brothers and sisters would take them home for pets. She was a teacher that everyone could love because of her fun ways of teaching science. She will be missed.May you rest in peace Miss Anne "Michael Brodzik (Richboro, PA.)"

There are no words to match my gratitude,
However much like Shakespeare I might write.
Above all else, you've shaped my attitude,
Nurturing me with discipline and light.
Knowledge is the least of what you taught,
Yet that least at least prepared my head.
Out of your heart I've learned the things I ought,
Underscoring words you never said.

Proud to have known a Rare and Special Teacher.

Thank You for the Gift of You,

March 26, 2010

It is with the deepest sadness that I learned of the passing of Miss Anne. The St. Albert the Great Family of students and friends is still family even though many of us have left the Philly area.

There is not a whole for me to add here. It has pretty much been said and far more eloquently than I could express. I would just like to add some of my own observations.

My daughter sometimes gets tired of hearing me mention Miss Anne. Anne was a positive influence in my life, in school as well as later when I became an adult. Everyone remembers the powder blue mustang. Most of us had a ride in it at one time or another. We all remember that Anne and Monk built most of the cages that housed the animals that called her classroom home. And how Fr. McCullough had thought Sr. Helen Agnes had taken leave of her senses for allowing animals in school. Although Sr. Margaret William had cracked the door with her pet rabbit, Miss Anne flung it wide open. She realized that in order to teach life science you had to LIVE it. Many of the things I learned from Miss Anne, I teach my daughter. I taught my daughter not to be afraid of thunderstorms by counting the seconds between the lightning and thunder to figure how far away a storm is. No teacher, and I have had a lot of good teachers, has influenced my life the way Anne did.

Years later when I did photo essays for The Parish Calendar, I could always count on Anne for a good story or photo op. She never complained or declared anything off limits. She was always interested in my career and in my personal life.

Years ago, Miss Anne told me I could call her Anne. Her reasoning was that we weren't that far apart in age. It is something I have had difficulty doing because she will forever be Miss Anne.

Finally, to Anne's family, I know from my own personal loss that there is nothing I can say that will ease the pain or bring you comfort. I am 3 three years into my own journey and trying to raise my daughter by myself. I can only say it gets easier to manage with time.

A few years ago, my parish priest gave a sermon entitled dashes. Let me share the premise behind the sermon. For those who pass by Annes' resting place they will see a memorial that will read in part 1948--2010. They will see that she was born and that she rests with God. They won't know the kind of life she led. We do. The dashes between 1948 and 2010 is the Anne that we all came to know and love.
It represents all of the people who know and love her. There is a good and loving life between those dashes. Rest in peace my dear friend and teacher. You have earned your reward.

I have so many fond memories of Miss Anne from St. Albert’s as our Science Teacher and also as our Volleyball Coach along side of her husband, Monk. Our trips in Monk’s van were very memorable! She made science and volleyball challenging but fun as well. Miss Anne was a wonderful gift to her students.

Miss Anne was definitely one of my favorite teachers when I attended St. Albert the Great School. I think I was part of her very first class there; I was in 6th or 7th grade at the time (1969-1970). Her classroom was filled with our animals, which she encouraged us to bring in ... gerbils, hamsters, iguanas, alligators, snakes, birds ... everything that could be kept in an aquarium or a terrarium! (That lasted for a while until one of the snakes escaped and showed up later in the supply closet of one of the teachers downstairs! We students thought that was funny at the time!)
I definitely attribute Miss Anne as the inspiration for my lifelong love of the life sciences, which led me into the field of nursing. I have also taught life sciences to my own and other children. I even have my own stereoscope and specimens, and of course pets! I also remember that her favorite color at that time was orange, and it became my favorite color for that time. I remember a bright orange t-shirt I wore that whole summer! I loved and admired Miss Anne! I graduated from St Albert's in June of 1971.
I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My heart goes out to you, her family, and to all those close to her, who have loved her and shared her with us all. I pray for the Lord's comfort and peace for you, and I entrust her and you to His care. He created her, and she loved His creation! I am so thankful for her indelible touch on my heart and in my life. God bless you ~

" It is with great sadness to see one of the best teachers at St Albert's pass. Her kindness was beyond compare. If you ever needed a hand, Miss Anne was the first to come to one's aid.
One example of her goodness was in 1974, my final year at St Al's.
My family decided to move out of the parish. I was devasted to learn this news. Miss Anne sat me down and offered to drive me to school everyday so that I was able to graduate with my class. I was so elated that I didn't have to leave my friends behind and become a stranger in a brand new school for only one year.
The fun part was getting to ride in her cool blue mustang, windows down, singing along to the radio (one old song "Mockingbird" sticks out in my mind and I think of her everytime I hear it ).
Talk about being wide awake for class. Did I have a choice? Whew!
A great lady will be missed".

I was sorry to hear of " Miss Anne's" passing. She truly was a teacher ahead of the times. She instilled in me a love of science that I used in my career and I believe I passed on to my daughter. My daughter is now a science teacher and I find myself telling her about our great teacher and her classroom at St. Albert's. She made learning fun with all her "cool" projects. Who could forget...How far did your rocket travel or Did your egg crack when you dropped it from the fire engine ladder in its special container? Many fond memories. We were very lucky to have her as a teacher. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.

March 26, 2010

I remember being jealous that I wasn't in Miss Anne's homeroom classroom, since it was so unconventional - animals everywhere, not a traditional desk to be found in the room, kids siting around big tables and cubes against the wall for your books and supplies. Back in the late '60's and early 70's, that was way outside the box!! I also remember the powder blue Mustang, the pinochle games played during lunch recess, field trips on weekends. When I heard of Miss Anne's pasing these memories all came flooding back so vividly, and I smiled. Most of all, I remember a teacher who was able to connect with us on a fun level, but always received and deserved our respect. She made Science FUN!! I feel very fortunate to have had such a wondeful teacher in my life, sad that she has passed away, but most of all grateful, knowing that she had such a positive influence on so many children's lives, including my own.

Respectfully, Joe Peppelman, Class of 1973.

March 26, 2010

I had Miss Anne as a science teacher when I was in seventh grade! She was such a terrific teacher, yet more importantly, a wonderful person. She gave me my first rabbit foot fern and she told me that I had such a wonderful, contagious laugh! That comment has stuck with me ever since. May her family find peace knowing that Miss Anne will always be loved & remembered!

Many fond memories of Miss Anne: trips to Martin's Aquarium, chasing rockets in the back fields of St. Albert's, she also introduced me to the Commodore 64, which instilled a life-long love of computers and gaming and many, many others.

Rest in peace, Miss Anne. You were a teacher in the truest sense of the word.

March 26, 2010

In 1980 as a student at Saint Albert the Great, Miss Anne was my science teacher. I remember that for some reason homerooms got combined (I believe Sr. Anne's mother was sick in Florida) and I was put in Miss Anne's homeroom. She was so kind and so "real"! She allowed the room to get messy and then we cleaned it up! She had animals and projects everywhere. I also remember that she wrote a personal note to each student in her room. I know that note made such an impression on me at a difficult age. She lived the life of the "good teacher" and I challenge myself now in the classroom to create that same environment. Rest in peace Miss Anne! Thank you for the many years you gave to education. Find my brother Chris up there!

My kids ask me all the time - Why do you like Sdience and why did I take it through highschool and college. Ms. Anne had alot to do with that. She made Science at St.Alberts my favorite subject. Why, because her teaching and ideas were so interesting. She always made the class fun! So sorry to hear about her passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. She was a great teacher, coach for volleyball, and overall just a great lady. You'll be missed , but the memories are still alive through all that knew her. Melanie Coccagna Lorenz

I was very sad to her of Miss Anne's passing. I have so many great memories of her; Science classes, playing pinochle, her blue mustang, the animals in our science lab, her support, Monk and many great talks. I hope she (and her family) know just how many people's lives she touched as a teacher and a friend at St Albert's. Although it has been 35 years, I am honored to have had her in my life as a teacher and role model. She was loved.

When I came to teach at St. Al's, Anne welcomed me to the faculty and to her circle of friends. That was 37 years ago and I can say she became one of my dearest friends.
We have shared many wonderful times together, from birthday and holiday celebrations to card games and vacations.
She will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit.
Through the difficult days, Anne always had a positive attitude and a smile for everyone.
What we once enjoyed and deeply loved will never be lost, they have become a part of us. May the love and memories we hold in our heart sustain us and bring us comfort.

Anne has been a close friend since we met when we were in our 20's, and she will be missed beyond words. She and Monk introduced me to my late husband, Joe (Monk's brother) and then we became family as well as friends. We enjoyed so much together: parties, vacations, pinochle, and much more. She was an incredible Aunt to our daughters, Jen and Lori (was Lori's Godmother). Anne was so caring, generous and fun ... always looking at the positive side. She dealt bravely with difficult health issues, but always with a smile and never complained. Seldom a week went by that we didn't get together, and she will be greatly missed but will always be in our hearts.

To Miss Anne's Family: Please be comforted by the knowledge that Miss Anne touched so many young lives at St. Albert's and that we loved her. She was such a wonderful teacher and friend to us. I'll always remember sitting on the floor of the science lab with a random rabbit, hamster or other pet in my lap watching Luke and Laura's wedding on General Hospital! I remember that every year, she let us "get" her with April Fools jokes. She stands forever in my memory of one of my favorite teachers. God Bless Miss Anne.

I was very sad to hear about Anne's passing. I was a customer of hers at the Mac Outfitters in Doylestown and must say that she was just the best. She helped me out a great deal and even came to my home to help set up my computer. The time she spent helping me and her generosity was very much appreciated. My sincere thoughts go out to her family during this time of sorrow.

To Anne's Family. It is with sadness that I heard of 'Miss Annes' passing. She taught me science at St. Albert the Great and also coached me in Volleyball. I have since gone on to coach Volleyball at St. Alberts for my own daughters - with Miss Anne ever present in my mind. I am sure she is at peace with "Monk" and can see the goodness she spread through her students. Janine
