ANTHONY DiMEDIO Obituary

DiMEDIO

ANTHONY RINALDO, age 84; 60 year resident of Haddonfield, NJ. on March 2, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Gloria Ann DiMedio (nee Verdi): Loving father of 4 children, Annette, Mark (Elissa D'Alleva), Gina (Frank Marrazza) and Lisa (John Flamma); Cherished grandfather of Martha Marrazza, Marco Marrazza, Mia Marrazza, and Mark Anthony DiMedio. He was the dear brother of the late Silvio, Alviso, Renato, Gino, Alfred (twin), and sister, Genetrice, and Michael DiMedio. He was the cherished brother-in-law of the late Rosemary Rausch (Nicholas) and Frank Verdi (JoAnn). His cherished nieces and nephews, and their families, include Nick Rausch, Debora Rausch, Francis Verdi and Catherine Verdi, and the families of all his DiMedio brothers and sister, Genetrice.
Anthony was the Treasurer of DiMedio Lime Company, on the Board of Directors at DuBell Lumber and President of DMB Corporation for over 50+ years. He proudly served in the National Guard. While he loved "numbers/math", he always taught his children the importance of the "customer is always right" with a family business. Anthony and Gloria travelled the world after their children finished their education, including trips to Italy/Europe and Israel. Gloria and Anthony's most "prized moment" was their private audience with Pope John Paul II. Anthony received the Chapel of Four Chaplains Humanitarian Award. He was devout in his love for the Lord, and believed in the spirit of giving; he and Gloria adopted a foster child in South America, and both were integral in the House of Charity drives at St. Rose of Lima. Anthony's past time loves included card playing, horse racing, bowling, dancing with Mom, going down the shore to Longport, attending the Eagles games for over 50 years as a Season-ticket holder, Sunday dinners with his family, and attending concerts - especially those of his children.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Tuesday Evening at 6:30-8:30 P.M. at the KAIN-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 15 West End Avenue, Haddonfield, NJ. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning, 10 A.M., at St. Rose of Lima Church, 4th Avenue and Kings Highway, Haddon Heights. Entombment, St. Joseph's Cem., Chews Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to The Anthony and Gloria DiMedio Award, School of Music, The University of the Arts, 320 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102.
