Argery Kavafes Obituary
ARGERY, Oct. 27, 2004, of Cherry Hill. Husband of 54 years of Gloria (nee Mates) Kavafes, father of Denise Kavafes and Gary (Elaine Ortman) Kavafes, brother of Desi (James) Otis and Virginia Satir, grandfather of Kevin Kavafes, Kara Wilson, Elyse Wilson, Samuel Segal and Laura Segal. Argery was a broadcast engineer with WCAU, Philadelphia, A veteran of WWII, he served in the US Army Air Corps. Relatives and friends are invited Mon., 11:30 A.M. to St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church, 615 Mercer St., Cherry Hill, N.J. where funeral services will begin promptly at 12 Noon. The family respectfully request contributions in his memory be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
