Dear Fathers & Members of the St. Thomas Aquinas Parish Community family:
I was shocked and saddened to learn of the death of you dear pastor, Rev. Arthur I. Taraborelli. Some fourteen years ago I was privileged to work with him as an ESL teacher after I finished my Information Science degree at Drexel. He was a fine pastor, a good priest, and a friend to a good number of De La Salle Christian Brothers, notably Brother Anthony Baird. At times such as these, words are unable to carry the full message of comfort and consolation which we want them to bear, but they are all we have. Having experienced the death of my own father in 1995, I am aware of the deep emotions which accompany such a loss. Be sure of continued remembrance of him in my prayers and those of all the Brothers here at Lewis.
May the Lord continue to hold you and all your parish family in the hollow of his hand and may you find his comforting presence in the silent power of prayer, in the wisdom of the Scripture, the nourishment of the Eucharist, the beauty of the liturgy, and in all his holy people gathered round us to help us.
I join my voice to the ancient hymn of the early Church:
May the angels lead him into Paradise.
May the martyrs come and welcome him on his way
And lead him into the holy city, Jerusalem.
May the choirs of angels welcome him.
And with Lazarus, who once was poor,
May he have everlasting life. Amen.
I close with the traditional prayer which we Brothers have prayed for over three hundred years:
Live Jesus in our hearts--Forever.
With sympathy and promise of prayers, Your Brother,
ED & TRISH LOCHNER

WE ARE SORRY TO HEAR OF THE DEATH OF FATHER. HE MARRIED US 31 YEARS AGO AT ST.JOHN THE BAPTIST IN MANAYUNK. WE ARE MEMBERS OF VISITATION B.V.M.-TROOPER. HE BAPTIZED ONE OF OUR DAUGHTERS, AND WAS A SPONSOR FOR OUR OTHER DAUGHTER AT HER CONFIRMATION.
HE IS THE ONE WHO GOT ME (ED) INVOLVED IN OUR PARISH CCD PROGRAM TEACHING CONFIRMATION CLASS (6TH GRADE) WHILE ATTENDING COLLEGE IN 1971. FATHER, YOU WILL BE STRONGLY MISSED BUT WE KNOW YOU WILL BE WATCHING OVER US FROM HEAVEN.
