DR. BARBARA, Aug. 16, 2010 of Springfield, PA. Wife of Thomas A. Meyers. Mother of Peter Knight Meyers. Daughter of The Hon. Edward R. Knight and Judith Knight. Relatives and friends are invited to memorial services Wednesday August 18, 2010 at 11 A.M. at Congregation Beth Or, 239 Welsh Rd., Maple Glen, PA. The family will return to their residence and respectfully request that contributions in her memory be made to Brady Cancer Research Institute 230 N. Broad St. MS200 Philadelphia PA 19102-1121.

Well, coincidences are odd sometimes. A few days ago I found an old picture of a seminar and Barbara was in it. Fond memories filled my heart of the times we spent together. In Caracas, and then in Santiago during an Insight IV. And the many times we shared and laughed together. Also, a beautiful card from her with this simple and loving statement: "DEAR CHARM DREW,
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BLESSING TO SERVE TOGETHER WITH YOU AND ALL THE TEAM.
IT IS INSPIRING TO KNOW THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE LIKE YOU ON THE LORD'S TEAM...

Barbara was a very bright light to both me and my husband Spencer. She facilitated our Insight 2's before we ever met and then we assisted at a 2 when she was facilitating. She exemplified strength, service, dedication to Spirit, courage and loving. When she got up on day 1 and told us how she had been very heavy and then lost that weight, I was deeply moved by her vulnerability and authenticity. That lesson has stayed with me since. I loved her and will miss her but know she is with God.

My only encounter with Barbara was the day before an Insight II she was about to facilitate in London several years ago, when I set up the sound equipment for the Head Sound person who had another commitment. However, her warmth really touched me both then and at the Sunday graduation ceremony when she made a special effort to come over and have a word with me. I really felt very much a part of that seminar even though I wasn’t actually assisting on it. RIP Barbara x

Barbara was an inspiration. She was a major influencer in my becoming a minister in MSIA. I always enjoyed her sharings at ministers meetings and looked forward to her attendance. I will miss her. I had the pleasure of being the Sound assistant for several Insight Trainings with Barbara at the helm in the 80s & 90s. Barbara approached her work with incredible integrity, focus, joyful humor and mastery. What an inspiration she was for all of us. Barbara loved the song by The Who "I'm Free". Yes, you are!
