To the Black Family,

Both my Husband & I worked with Bernie at the Defense Industrial Supply Center. Bernie was always a gentleman and very soft spoken. While speaking with him it was obvious that he was an intelligent man, and always left the conversation with a profound statment. He was a very special person and words cannot express our heartfelt sadness for your families loss.

To Mary and family. I remember several years of going to Washington with Bernie and St. Helena's Pro Life Group for the March for Liife. He was a gentle and caring man, as well as spiritual. Bernie never hesitated to give me a minute to ask a question or give me suggestions. Mary, I know you are probably having a difficult time right now, so know I am praying for all of you, and I an just a phone call away. Love, Susan
