There has never been a kinder, gentler, sweeter man than our friend Bernie. He is a king among kings, one I have been honored to know and share his company with his best love Star, since we met through her love for him, in 1979. I have only known Bernie for 38 years, and it seems like not long enough. I will always remember our travels together and the antics whether on a cruise ship or an island, that left me breathless in laughter and wanting just one more trip. I cry today knowing that you are gone, and for the heartbreak Star and the rest of your family suffer in your loss. In time, I hope that our tears will be brought more in knowing the gentle spirit of joy and caring you shared throughout your 92 years. Go in peace, and know how very loved you have been on Earth. Soar!

Much love,
Ellen and John Jarvis

Sorry we cannot be with you Star on this day. My special friend and cohort, Bernie was a marvelous man, talented, witty and caring. We will miss him greatly! The special occasions we shared with both of you are etched in our memory, from the Passover Seders to the Actor's Guild productions. Our love and condolences to The whole family.
