Catherine Bremble Obituary

Bremble Catherine W. "Kit" On April 16, 2025. She was 96. Kit was pre-deceased by her husband, John A. Bremble, Jr., her brother and her fiancé, E. J. Neal Hedger. She had no survivors. Kit, whose parents were Alfred and Lillian Whisler, was born, raised and educated in the Philadelphia area and attended Beaver College (now known as Arcadia). She was employed by The Franklin Institute for many years. She served as the administrative assistant to the Institute's president and, at her retirement, was the assistant secretary and treasurer for the corporation. Even after her move to Moorestown in her later years, her heart remained in Philadelphia, and she frequently crossed the river to enjoy Philadelphia's many historic sites. Although very direct when she felt things were not quite right, Kit was always kind, polite and a most faithful friend. She was very active with a sharp wit until the last few months of her life. Kit will be missed by her many lifelong friends with whom she maintained faithful contact and who she drew close to her during her years in The Evergreens, the retirement community where she died. She was interred next to her husband in Philadelphia's historic National Cemetery with a Graveside Service attended by a few of her close friends, just as she desired.
