CHARLES SR. "DAVE", January 21, 2013, age 86, of Rox. Husband of Hannah (nee Gallagher); father of Linda Serwinski (Paul), Susan Barber (Leonard), Kelly Garlick (James), Hannah Pownall (Elwood), David (Kathryn), Thomas (Cheryl), James (Nicole) and the late Charles Clothier Jr. (Antoinette); also survived by 21 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to Viewing Wednesday eve (tonight), 7 to 9 P.M., and Thursday, 10 A.M., at THE KOLLER FUNERAL HOME, 6835 Ridge Ave. (cor. of Livezey), followed by Funeral Service 11 A.M. Interment Westminster Cem.

Hi Dad, I just couldn't write on the 21st. A whole year has past and I still find myself driving to the Woodmere. Maybe its the thought of better days gone by. I hope that stops soon, I'm really going out of my way! lol Your birthday was a real BLAST!! I think you heard all of us, Right? I can just imagine you yelling at us, saying "What the hell are you doing here? It's frigging cold, get the hell home, but it was great seeing you all, be careful going home, love you guys" The holidays were a little rough without you, but all the little things you would do or say stays with me. It's kind of nice, everyday something comes up to reminds me of you. Thanks for the great memories. Love you always, miss you more!

We kept Mom pretty busy during the holidays this year, Storybook Land, Tree Lighting, Santa Vists, and of course SHOPPING - boy did we miss you on Black Friday, just wasn't the same and Jamie REFUSED to have tea ready for us when we got home! I was a tough Holiday, missed you.

Sorry I haven't written but you know how things are. I can't believe that you are gone. As you know the boys ask about you and wonder how you and Uncle Chalie are doing. I just tell them you are living it up. Today they are honoring your memory in the annual AKP memorial services. Wish I could be there but know I am there in spirit. Game 3, You must be watching .Slim, threw 2 no hit innings, k'd 2 , and got the win.Dirty Mike blasted a double , pithced 2 Innings to close the game out. next up Orioles Tuesday night.2-1 to start the year.

Hey Pop,
First game was pretty cool. A walk-off in extra innings, with my 2 boys.I almost cried, that was up there with having kids and getting married.I went to mom's right after .Second game, not so good. 4-3 loss to a bunch of carrying cases for feminine hygeine products.Tonight, Jr's on the mound,and I'm missing my 3 first basemen.Gonna be tough one.I know your watching, if there's anything you can do on your end we'd appreciate it.

I haven't had the heart to write. I was so mad at myself for not getting my license before you were gone. But as you know I got it, everything is working out well. Of course it is lonely driving to work alone. I think of you ALL the time, a little too much if you ask a normal person. But every move I make while driving, I think about our talks, what I should and shouldn't do on the road and cursing at people when they drive stupid. LOL. Wow, one month. Can't believe it. Part of me feels like its flown by, but the other part feels like its been forever since I've seen and talked to you. I hope you've found peace and comfort. I have to be honest, although I wish I could have you back, I'm so glad your not suffering any more. It was really tough to see you go out like that , Pop. You didn't deserve that at all. But man did you fight, up until the very end. I can't say it enough, I'm honored to call you my Pop-Pop. I love you always and FOREVER!!!!

Words can't describe how I feel right now. I have been so lucky to call you Pop-Pop. I have been there with you a lot lately, and it is going to be so weird to get back to life with out you. Dad you are the best. I promise to continue to be myself and most importantly I will continue to respect all who I come in contact with.
