Dear Nancy, My deepest sympathy to you on the loss of your beloved Charlie. He positively affected countless lives over the span of his teaching and arbitration careers and his personal life and many, many people will feel the loss of this highly intelligent, caring, kind, gentle, loving man. In addition to being a favorite of students and faculty/staff members at Rutgers, he had the special talent of being gifted both professionally and as a friend to others. You and your family are in my prayers, Nance. With love, Barb

Dear Nancy and Family,

We were in complete shock this morning to learn of Charlie's passing. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers now and always. Charlie was such a champion of our daughter Erin in her London adventures and of course at Ithaca College, being certain to always ask us at church how she was doing in her academic pursuits and in her life in general.

He will surely be missed by all of us.

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Charlie was my neighbor and close friend in West Philly during our pre-and teen years. Many days, we played until it was too dark to see-handball, stickball, wireball and stepball. In the current vernacular, we "hung out" all Summer.

One of my best memories was meeting Charlie and Nancy at the Victor Cafe and finding out that he was a professor at Rutgers.

I was blessed to know him as a child. He was as nice a friend as anyone could ever have.

My deepest sympathies to Charlie's family. He was a great arbitrator and person. He will be sorely missed.
