GARGAN
CHARLES E., May 3, 2014, at age 90, of East Oak Lane. WWII Army Veteran. Beloved husband of the late Marie (nee Johnson). Loving father of Charles E. Jr. "Duke"; Father-in-Law of Denise M. Gargan; sweetest Grandfather of Daniel (Kelly), Maria and Thomas. Charles was a longtime coach for St. Joseph's CYO in Cheltenham, he was a Philadelphia Fire Fighter, an avid Ocean City Summer resident and a charter member of Pennlyn Place Beach Club.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Tuesday 7 to 9 P.M. and Wednesday 7:45 to 8:30 A.M. at THE WALTER J. MEYERS FUNERAL HOME, 6643-45 Torresdale Ave. (at Unruh) Phila. PA 19135. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 AM at St. Leo the Great Church. His Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribu-tions may be made to PA SPCA 350 E. Erie Ave. Phila. PA 19134.

So sorry to see Duke Sr. pass. A very kind and gentle soul. Not once did I ever hear him raise his voice. He will be missed dearly. My prayers to the Gargan family.
