CHARLES MONTFORT, 83, of Kennett Square PA, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Crosslands. Beloved husband of the late Mary Louise (Roberts) Melchior; loving father of Emma Simpson of Haverford PA; Jeanne Melchior of Rosendale NY; Mary Melchior of Washing-ton DC; and O. Montfort Melchior of Greenbelt MD; and 6 grandchildren. A Memorial Service is planned for Sunday, November 23, 2 P.M., Crosslands Retirement Community, William Penn Lounge, Kennett Square PA. Contributions in his memory can be made to American Friends Service Committee, 1501 Cherry St., Phila. PA 19102, or Haverford College 370 Lancaster Ave., Haverford, PA 19041-1392.
