I will always be grateful to Charlie Seymour for introducing me to the real estate business, in general, and appraising and counseling, in particular. In addition to being an all time great teacher and a terrific analyst, Charlie was the best report writer I have never known. In my estimation his professional skills were outstanding. He encouraged his proteges to give back to our profession by being active in the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers locally and nationally.
Not many knew that Charlie got his pilot's license about 40 years ago. I, too, am a pilot and respected his accomplishment. It was my privilege and pleasure to accompany him in small planes to various job sites out of the area. Once we flew to an Appraisal Institute meetin in Montreal, Canada in very marginal weather. Gettin his license was just one more of those challenges that Charlie embrace during his very active lifetime.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Charles F. Seymour. I worked at Jackson-Cross Company for 10 years 1970-1980. He was a great leader and it was a great experience working for his Company.
