CHRISTOPHER STOKES Obituary

STOKES CHRISTOPHER Age 60, of Philadelphia, formerly of Pittsburgh died on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Son of the late James C. Stokes III and Marie J. Gallagher, brother of Kathy (Dave) Smoot, Rosemary (P.D.) Serger, James C. (Kim) Stokes, IV, Jennifer (Bobby) Howe and Annemarie (Mike) Johnston. Also survived by 10 nieces and nephews, 20 great nieces and nephews and many friends. Chris was a 1980 graduate of Moon High School. He worked for American Airlines for 35 years in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, bowling, softball, golfing, and boating. He was an avid Cincinnati Bengals and Reds fan, no matter their record. Friends will be received Friday 10 – 12 P.M. at R. D. COPELAND, INC., 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Township where a blessing service will be held at 12 P.M. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joe Burrows Foundation for Underprivileged Children at https://donate.stripe.com/eVa15U2Gs2eFbwAfZ3 in memory of Christopher Stokes.

I'm so very sorry to hear this. Chris was a childhood friend growing up together on Chetbert Drive. While we hadn''t seen each other in years, I'd always hoped that he was doing well. My deepest sympathies to all of the Stokes family members. Sincerely, Sue Wordeman McGrath
