On June 18, 2017, age 34. Beloved daughter of Joseph J. and Eileen M. (nee Needham), sister of Joseph (Megan) and Kevin (Megan), aunt of Kerrigan and Briley, also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Thursday beginning at 9:15 A.M., Holy Innocents Church, 1337 E. Hunting Park Ave., followed by 11 A.M. Funeral Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Family appreciates memorial contributions to Leukemia And Lymphoma Society, 100 N. 20th St., Ste. 405, Phila., PA 19103. To the McCall family,My name is Chris Brady, and I had the very distinct honor of serving as Christy's mentor during her student teaching at Mayfair School in 2010. Despite only being in my 3rd grade class for a short 3 months, "Ms. McCall" had a profound and lasting impact on my students, and they were very sad when her semester was over. We created an interactive website where the students could leave her video messages, and Christy would always kindly reply and show a continued interest in their growth and education, despite her obligation to do so being long over. She came back to visit often, and when it was revealed that she was my surprise guest at our end of the year party, her presence made me invisible to them, I could not have been more proud seeing the genuine excitement on her face. Those children LOVE her, and never forgot her, stopping by my classroom even as 8th graders to ask "How's Ms. McCall?"Christy and I developed a friendship through that short experience, and we would always find ways to laugh at life's most challenging and traumatic situations, finding common interest in loud music (and louder children). I just spoke to her a few weeks ago. She was out on disability due to her most recent treatment, but was telling me about her new position at the courts that she was eager to get back to. Hearing she passed so soon after is devastating. I will struggle with this for a very long time. Despite not ever having the chance to enter her own classroom, she was more than capable. For myself and the 32 students lucky enough to see her in action, she will forever be our beloved Ms. McCall. I am so sorry for this heartbreaking loss. Your family remains in my prayers.

Will never not love you McCoolio. Never stopped neither. Heard your laugh last week in a dream. You could make me laugh like no woman before or since. I could make you laugh til u did that thing where' you rubbed one eye with fingers on one hand under your glasses you glued to your ears. I could write you til the World Wide Web blowed up bubba. To the McCall family,
I can remember Christy's little face and her red hair when she came into my first grade classroom. I though, "Well here's an Irish one!" I was lucky to teach her three times in her Holy Innocents years. She was so sweet and kind, as well as a great student! It was a privilege to watch her grow from a child into a teen. Once in a while she would stop in to see me when she was in High School. I'd get the info about the girls, etc. what a joy she was! I was saddened to hear that she was sick and as I can see on Facebook, she had so many who loved her. She may be gone, but her loving presence will go on forever. To the McCall family,I am so sorry for the loss of your Christy. I remember her as the cutest little girl ever on Malta Street. My grandmother Midge lived 2 doors down from your family. She was definitely a little beauty. Later in life I came across her on Facebook and was curious about her life not sure if she would remember me but, she did. I enjoyed her posts and seeing that she was all grown up and saddened to see that the leukemia had returned. I see what an impact she had on everyone around her. My condolences goes out to Christy's family and close friends. I only knew Christy through our grade school and high school years. I didn't know her on a personal level. All I know of her was she was a quiet one. You will be missed. RIP Christy! The moral of this story is life is too short and you need to cherish every moment.
