DANIEL J., on Dec. 2, 2009. Devoted father of Ryan and Daniel Hampson, beloved son of Frank and Pat Hampson (nee Gallagher), dear brother of Frank (Beth Anne) Hampson and Patricia (Tom) Benedykciuk. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass, Mon., Dec. 7, 2009, 10:30 A.M., St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave., Phila. Int. private. Friends may call at the Church from 9 A.M. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory be made to the Father Judge High School, Tuition Fund.

To the Hampson Family....I just learned of Danny's passing from my daughter, Debbie. I remember Danny as a happy young fella at Incarnation...a real tribute to his parents and family members. Danny was a great high school friend. Remember playing tackle football every weekend at Olney High. Coming over his house and playing hockey on Mentor street. Going to the Meadowlands and watching Penn State lose to Nebraska 44-6. Totally goofing off in class Senior year. I could go on. Lost contact after I went in the Navy. I never knew him as an adult..... After looking at social websites and online comments I wish I'd had.

Hampson Family, Our memories go back a long time, all so happy of times we spent with Danny alone, at his house or with friends. Your smile was always there, even when you were down! Know you made many friends in your short life and impacted many. To his boys, realize your dad was a great man that was loved by many, make him proud~carry on your life the way he taught you. To Danny and Ryan, Mr and Mrs Hampson and the Hampson family, You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
"Gone too soon" is an understatement however in his all too short life, Dan touched so many! Always a smile and a sparkle in his eye, Dan was always there to lend a hand, tell a funny story or pick you up when you have fallen.
The sacrifices he made to ensure his boys were happy and safe we effortless to him. He was a great dad and role model!
Let memories comfort you over the next few weeks and know that I am here if you need anything.

Hampson Family,
Dan was 'life.' When I was in the military, he came to visit, New Orleans & Florida. He lifted my spirits and reminded me of Philly. Great, fun loving guy. My prayers are with you.
