Danny’s prayer:
Dear God, we didn’t know that Danny was going to be taken away from us so soon.
Danny always was a special child. He had the magic of understanding people and finding the best of everyone he met. He was loved very dearly by all of us, and he showed us his love every day in so many ways.
He loved to feed the birds and all his pets and was kind to all. He was happy to be with all of them and wanted more to share his love.
Dan was always touched by the loved ones around him, and he had that special touch. When Danny would hold your hand, you knew it because his touch would make you smile.
When he was in the room, the room lit up.
When Danny was hurting and closed his eyes, we prayed Dear Lord. We wanted a miracle. We all cried so hard. We never dreamed people could cry as much as we did.
Dear Lord, we wanted a miracle so badly. But the miracle never came. And when Danny gave his last breath, we realized that we did have the miracle. The miracle was that we had Danny for 12 and a half years.
Dear Lord, Danny was so good to us and so good for us. And now he is in Your hands and looking down upon us.
Danny will always be in our hearts. Take care of him, Father, and keep him warm in Your heart as he is in ours. We thank you for the precious gift You gave to all of us.
We love you Danny, sweet dreams.
Amen

Please know that we send our Love and Prayers with the hope to Confort and Console you in this time of sorrow. What I remember of Danny was his beautiful eyes, so wide and full of wonder and innocence. I also remember when he was just 3 or 4 years old at the cousins party here. He was so thrilled and proud of himself going up and down the deck steps again and again. And then of course, last year here helping take the whole family picture on the deck steps. Our memories of him will always bring a smile.
