My Lauren will be gone from this earthly plane almost 2 years come March 6th and the joy in life is not the same without you both by my side. If you had the good fortune to know Dan Walsh, then you were blessed. I am so grateful to have volumes of memories of this dear man. Memories from my childhood and his kindness to all of us kids.
He was engaging and affable.
Over 46 years of memories is not easy to put into words. So I am going to pick one word. Compassionate. Dan, with all his bravado, had a heart full of compassion.
Dan would never hesitate to reach out and help someone, it came natural to him.
Dan loved life and lived it to its fullest, but always with caring for others.
I will always smile in my heart, thinking of him telling jokes, being profound at times and seeing that sparkle of mischief in his eyes.
Dan Walsh was unique. No other man will compare. I will leave you with this quote by Friedrich Nietzsche. "At bottom every man knows well enough that he is a unique being, only once on this earth;and by no extraordinary chance will such a marvelously picturesque piece of diversity in unity as he is, ever be put together a second time."
God bless you Dan Walsh. I look forward to the day that I see you on the other side. Until then, I will always remember you with love in my heart.
My prayers and love go out to the entire Walsh family.

Dad, you were "One of a kind" and always had to do it your way but in doing so you were always genuine and sincere. Although you didn't want anyone to know... you had compassion for others daily and in your actions everyone felt your love especially your children, grandchildren, & great-grandchildren. This love and compassion is here with all of us because of you. Thanks Dad, I know you can feel all this love coming back to you, Danny
