Isabele, Matt and Michele:

You were all so brave, you held up like the troopers David thought you to be. He was so proud of his children and loved his kids and his wife more than anything in the world. You will miss him more than anyone else but everyone else will miss him too. Shock and sadness fill my heart and I will miss David so very much. He was a wild and crazy guy. God be with all of you. My love always, Evie Lang

I worked with Dave in the early seventies in the 19th District. I recall him as a person who readily spoke of how proud he was of his family. He was very professional about his position. I hope to attend morning Mass tomorrow at our parish and will offer it for Dave. I will keep the needs of your family in my prayers during this time.

Sincerely, Mike McMahon
