Dad, I learned that not letting go of you when it was time for you to go was selfishness. There is no way that you could have lasted in that body any longer than you tried. Your spirit lives on amongst all of us though. It's really hard to expect someone to let their loved ones go easily but we pray that your transition was peacefully. I miss you no less. I love you dad.

I want my mom and dad back, sick well, whatever, I want them back. Here, there wherever I want them back. Talking, writing, crying do not ease the yearning. I just want them.

I miss my dad very much. I remember one warm summer day, a lot of people were outside. My dad and I were walking down the street together. He was in a hurry but I was walking slow, so he reach out his hand for me to grab hold of and catch up with him. When he reached for my hand, to me, it seemed everyone stop to watch. I felt his love, strength and protection. It brought joy to my heart and I skipped the rest of the way, while he held my hand. It was such a small thing, but it meant alot to me. I miss his hands reaching out to protect me. Another time, when we were walking, again. This time me, him, mommy, vet, uppie and pam were coming from a show at Robin Hood Dell. Daddy had lost his sight, by then. I was walking in front of him and was talking about something. He stopped my converstion and said" walk up before I step on you". I was surprised to hear him say that since he could not see, and he wasn't walking on my heel. I said' how you know you were close enough to step on my heel. He said "cause I'm the man". Everybody just laughed. I miss his witty, snappy come backs. Things ONLY DAVID DASH would say.
For me, there will never be another human being, in this life, to take his place. He broke the mole and took the blue print with him. You know the saying, "Often imitated, but never duplicated." That's my dad.

My Uncle, David Dash who was one of the many people who meant the world to me. I would need to write a book to describe the type man he was but to narrow it down, he was the strongest, loving, and caring man you could ever meet. I can remember him saying to me "Thank you kids for taking care of my sister vernal(wernal as he would call her)". I would respond by saying no problem uncle david that's our mother, and jokingly he would say that was my sister before it was your mother. He will truly be missed.
love your neice, Tanya

I miss you Dad. I remember and know that you never encouraged or told me to do anything wrong whenever I sought your advice as I did very often. You always told me to "reach up" not down. I believe that I am finally starting to appreciate and gain insight into the principles and lessons that you tought me.

Everyone who choose to sign this guest book will undoubtedly write words such as: a man of wisdom, courage, charisma, witty, aider, advisor, leader, mentor, loving, caring, understanding, stern, fair, strong, vulnerable.... Attributes of a King, a Regal man. Peope who met him admired him. It started as a young man, being the son of Samuel and Alice Dash. Along with his brothers and sisters they have such class. They were each other family and friends. Athough they took different choice in life, they still stuck by each other through thick and thin. He took a wife enchanted by his boyish whims and taught her to love him beyond this physcial rim. We are blessed as his children to have a father like him. He taught us that we are who we are and be in it to win. "Be careful of what you ask and allow to come in." Learn from your mistake or you'll be in trouble again". The simply things he said stuck in your head. He was a bridge over troubled waters. You knew you'd be safe.
That's my dad, a man of renown. I miss him dearly...
Daddy, today, I dedicate my life to you.

Sincerely, your daughter, Carol

David Dash who his friends affectionately called, "Dave", is my father. He was a vibrant, hard working man, and could write his own book on ephatats. He was a very father who taught me to be GOD fearing and a respectful human being. The thing that I will miss the most about my father is our weekly chat. He always offered words of encouragement. Never judgmental, and his advice included what a GOD fearing person would do. Of course he would not be david Dash if he did not add a joke or two to cheer you up! I will really miss my dad. He was a really important figure in my life. There will always be an empty space that no one will ever be able to fill. I LOVE YOU DADDY!!

I did not have the pleasure of growing up with Pop Pop, nevertheless he made an impact in my life.

My first impression of Pop Pop was that he was a man FULL of wisdom and kind words. Anything I'd ask him about, he would DEFINITELY have an answer. I came to find that people gravitated to him for his wisdom, counsel and insight. I am honored that I have some of those same characteristics although mine could not compare to his by a mile.

While in Phily, I had the chance to try a version of Pop Pop's "HEAVEN'S DELIGHT". When that desert came out, there came the stories right along with it! I was told that noone could make it like him. I thank the Lord that Pop Pop now knows and lives "HEAVEN'S DELIGHT"!!!
