DENISE ROTKO Obituary
DENISE A. ROTKO, 64, of Unionville, PA. She was the daughter of the late Harry D. Hickey and the late Anne Patterson Hickey. Denise is survived by her husband, Michael J. Rotko; children, Hannah R. Rotko and Daniel B. Rotko; step-children, Thomas C. Rotko (Lauren) and William L. Rotko (Carol); 5 step-grand-children; sister, Mary Beth Rusiewicz (Leonard) and Pamela Funk (Thomas) and 2 nieces. Services and interment will be private.

Dear Michael, Hannah and Dan,
I just heard the news about Denise's passing. I was shocked and saddened. I couldn't believe it. It seems like just yesterday that I spent my Sundays at your home. Remember Hannah? I know that you have grown to be a mature young woman and will always have fond memories of your mom. Know that she is still with you and will always watch over you from above. She was a delightful person who loved you so much and was dedicated to her children and doing whatever she could to ensure their success. Michael, I know that your heart must ache, and you miss her every day. My deepest, deepest condolences. If I was there, I would give you all a hug. Sending you love, prayers and peace. All my best to you.

Dear Micheal, Hannah and Daniel,
Words cannnot express the sorrow me, Lesley and Sabrda feel for your loss. As close cousins growing up, we enjoyed many a good time at either my Aunt Nan's and Uncle Harry's home, but also Aunt Peg. I wll never forget my very first horseback ride with her, Uncle Skip and family in Bethleham.

I came to know Denise through the New Bolton Center where her horses were patients. Her love of her horses was deeply felt and her energy was contagious. Her intelligence and compassion was a light in the dark when it came to any illness in humans or horses. If one of her beloved companions were struck down by illness or disease her response was to beat that illness or disease so that it could be beat the next time, thus using knowledge as a weapon. I am deeply saddened by the news of her passing and although I never met much of her family, I wanted them to know that Denise will truley be missed and I wish to extend my prayers and sympathy in this difficult time.

Dear Michael, Hannah and Dan,
I am so deeply sad to hear this news. Denise was such an amazing person. She was a mentor to me (as a working mother) as well as a supporter of my business. She was my client at the beginning, but became a friend who I respected very much. She spoke of you all with so much love. Hannah, your mother talked with such pride about your gift for caring for animals and your passion and drive after you returned from Africa. And Dan, your mother told me all about your academic accomplishments and how you were about to start law school - she loved you both so fiercely! I will miss her very much, as I know so many people will. She was a real source of light, strength and inspiration in this world. I'm so happy to have known her, and I'm so sad that she's gone.
