We were best of friends through the highschool and early college years.We joked and laughed our way through these times. Dian came with our family (the year of Hurricanes Carol and Diane)to Sconset for a week and stayed with us for the whole season. We worked together during the summer on the Island during college and she was hooked on Nantucket . I've been back to visit her both in Philadelphia and Nantucket. We shared our love of the Island. She was going to come to my daughters wedding. I will miss her

Dian & I were roommates in 1961. She was hilariously funny then, and
continued, throughout her life,to create laughter and frivolity (as well as beauty)whenever she chose. Her Nantucket garden was a fantasy that took years of work. I hope someone is taking care of her beloved cats.
