J. Marie Boone, 97, of Southgate, Michigan, and formerly of Temperance, Michigan, and Toledo, Ohio, passed away, Monday, March 23, 2026. Marie was born on January 17, 1929, in Pulaski, TN, and was the daughter of Redus and Florence (Willis) Watkins. She married John Boone on November 10, 1945. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2007. Marie was a life-long Christian and had been a member of Hope Baptist Church, Toledo, OH.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Linda (Richard) Swetz; and 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Marie was also preceded in death by her sons, Charles, Wade, Glen, and Larry Boone; brothers, Lewis, Austin, Foster, and Nelson Watkins.
Visitation and services are private.
