I will always be grateful for the family reunions spent at Aunt Gen's, as children . What fun all of us cousins had! I will always be grateful for the holiday celebrations, the weddings, the baby showers, and all the special celebrations we have shared. I will always be grateful for the time we had together, in October. I will miss your loving soul and I am grateful that you are with God, free from pain… Until we meet again, Diane, you will be missed... Rest In Peace, Dear Cousin. ?

God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be.

So he wrapped his arms around you, and whispered,"Come to me".

You didn't deserve what you went through, So He gave you rest.

God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best

And when they saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain

They could not wish you back to suffer that again.
R.I.P Diane, for you have an amazing family that will carry out your legacy. Say Hello to all our loved ones up there..let them know we will see them all in due time.

This is part of a letter I wrote today to one of the many children saddened by Diane's death. It felt like the right thing to share here:

"I am also sad that Nurse Diane died. She was a good person who loved life. She was someone I learned from, because she met everyone with open arms. I know that she couldn't really have liked everyone, but she never showed that. She cared for whoever showed up at her door as if there was no one else in the world. We could all count on her to help us when we were in pain. I believe that was why she was so special to so many people. And, she liked to laugh! Laughter heals so many things. Nurse Diane was a good healer and we will all miss her."
