I was saddened to learn of the passing of my old and dear friend, and running-mate (1967), Steve Fluharty. As a judge, he possessed a brilliant and demanding mind, and he required professionalism, preparedness and punctuality in all who appeared before him. Beside that, he was a good guy. Rest in Peace, Steve

I tried my first jury trial before Judge Fluharty 25 years ago or so. He was very helpful to younger lawyers, both when you were on-track and off. I enjoyed working with him, and will remember his legacy. To Joan and family, I am sorry for your loss.

I wish to extend my sincere condolences to Judge Fluharty's family. As a court reporter I worked on many trials before the judge and found him to be quite fair and even-handed in the administration of justice. The public was well-served and he will be greatly missed.

Joan & Family,

Judge Fluharty was one of the best judges I have had the honor to know. I clerked with him when he first came to the Superior Court and learned a great deal from him. He treated his staff like equals and had one of the best legal mines I have ever known. God bless his memory.

I was on a jury tean in a civil case and the Judge was The Honorable Fluharty. Often times being a juror on occasion will be boring but not with the Honorable Stevenson. I am truly saddened to read of his passing. We lost a great guy. At that time he was bragging and often commenting about his beautiful bride and wife to be.
