89, devoted husband, father and grandfather, lost his battle with cancer on Monday, June 12, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Selma (nee Roseman); his three children, Wendy Pollack (Ted Pollack), Sally, and Morris (Kim Liddle); and seven grand-children: Kayla, Harrison, Josephine, Luke, Jackson, Lauren, and Brett. Edgar was born in Philadelphia and was a proud graduate of Central High School (Class 184) in 1945 and the University of Pennsylvania in 1949. He lived in the city until 1969, when he moved his growing family to Bala Cynwyd. For over 36 years he worked in marketing for PGW, from which he retired in 1989. After leaving PGW, he went on to become an award-winning photographer and photo-journalist. His photos appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Main Line Life, and other publications. Funeral Service, Wednesday June 14th at 1 P.M. at WEST LAUREL HILL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 225 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. In lieu of flowers, the Davis family respectfully asks that donations be sent in Edgar Davis's name to a charity of your choice.
