Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing and Funeral Thurs. 8:30 A.M., from the McELVARR FUNERAL HOME, 1415-17 EAST SUSQUE-HANNA AVE, Fishtown. Funeral Mass 11 A.M., St. Michael's Church, 2nd and Jefferson Sts. In lieu of flowers the family is respect-fully requesting memorial contributions to a charity of the donor's choice.
Thanks for the memories we will carry with us until we meet again. Rest in Peace, Fatdad.

Uncle Eddie you were a wonderful man, a great father and husband, an amazing son and brother and a fabulous, brilliant and awesome uncle! you were funny and delightful and were always someone who I could talk to and laugh with! You are so greatly missed and unconditionally loved. You were a strong, cheerful and blissful man. You were talented and skilled and your love will forever and always live in the hearts of every single person that you crossed paths with! Even though you are not here with your loved ones, you are in a better and more alluring place!

You can tell your uncle stuff you could not tell your dad. They play the role of both father and friend. This is how I felt about my uncle Eddie Alicea. I already miss his always recognizable voice when I walk in the door of my best friends house, the random text messages and phone calls, the endless conversations about life, friends, family, music, sports, and our favorite tv shows. I'm thankful for every minute I got to spend with him in my 26 years and the life lessons he taught me along the way. My only hope is that my aunt and cousins somehow find the strength to get through this incredibly difficult time. RIP Uncle Ed, Love your favorite nephew Mac Money

My neighbors for 15+ yrs. your dad was such a good guy! Never thought twice to lend a helping hand, offer me a ride home in the rain. I can hear him now coming in the doctors office saying hey Nikki girl, always had the best conversations with him. He always said how proud he was of his boys and how they turned things around for the best. Ill never forget him glad I had the please to know him, we will truly miss him and I always let him know Palmer street wasn't the same when he left . Rest in peace big fella.

Ed, dont know where to begin, we have been family for 33 yrs. we've raised our kids together, cried,fought, laughed, holidays, birthdays and everything else familes do. I will never forget uncle eddie for all the time we spent hanging out and the long talks we had about music, tv shows, sports, friends, family, and life. He shared his whole life experiences with me and my cousins in the hope that it would help us in our own lifes journey. He taught me the most about music, loyalty, and the importance of having fun with friends and family. I'm going to miss those talks, his recognizable voice coming in the door, our debates about whats going to happen in the upcoming episode of boardwalk empire or shameless, and his random text messages to me talking about anything that happened to be on his mind that day. We all loved you fat dad! Rest in peace...your nephew and friend MAC MONEY.
