EDWARD BLACKMAN Obituary
DR. EDWARD D. JR., age 92, died May 2, 2014 at Pitman Manor, Pitman, NJ. Survived by wife Margery (nee Myrtetus), daughter Lisa Blackman, son Douglas, son-in-law Richard Kling, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren. Celebra-tion of Life Service will be held at Pitman United Methodist Church, 758 N. Broadway, Pitman, NJ 08071, on Wednes-day, May 7 at 7 PM, with a gathering of friends and family after the service in the Social Hall. Donations are suggested to Ranch Hope for Boys, 37 Sawmill Road, Alloway, NJ 08001, and to the Pitman United Methodist Church at the address listed. Memories may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com.

Lisa I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. As I grew up in Pitman I always wondered what made some men so historically great never knowing their stories of the past, however I knew this iconic gentleman and as I got older, knowing now, that he truly belongs with that elite crowd. He unselfishly did so much for all ages, always having that healing effect on them. I always remembered what he told at one of my many check ups, " your teeth are so perfect that if I had more patients like you I would be out of business", and with that he gave me a wink and be off son, and make sure you ....brush. LOL he was great. RIP Doc Blackman
