EDWARD FELIX "ED" SHAY Obituary

SHAY EDWARD FELIX "ED" Died at home from lung cancer, age 78, on November 18, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alice G. Gosfield, his son Daniel F. Shay (LeeAnn Tanaka DO) and his granddaughter Eleanor Rose Mieko Shay (Ellie). He spent his entire professional career as a health lawyer beginning in the War on Poverty as a VISTA lawyer and then at the Health Law Project, where he met his wife. They practiced law together themselves for 14 years when he moved on to Saul Ewing as a partner and chair of the heath law department. He left there and retired from Post and Schell in 2016. He then enthusiastically took on the role of fun-loving Superdad, picking up and playing with Ellie every day from daycare and then school until just a few weeks ago. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Constitution Center or Planned Parenthood.

Alice,

So sorry for your loss. I didn't know your husband but as a child we had a bungelow in Jamison, PA and I want to know if you are the same Alice Gosfield who has a brother Greg. My aunt was Bessie Gosfield.
