I'm so sorry to just read this! I had the pleasure of mobile grooming Betty's family border terrier and lab dogs for years, around when Butter was just a new puppy. It was always a remarkable looking picture perfect beautiful home and farm. Betty struck me as a powerful family loving person - and I appreciated her! Praying for the family and friends for such a loss. Take care and gbu.

Always kind and smiling. Every time I saw her it made my whole day. She was the best of the best. I wish for everyone who has every known Mrs. Moran carries with them a piece of her in their lives. The world will then be even a better place.

Betty has showered her wonderful spirit, heart, generosity and love on so many people, family, friends and worthy charities. I have had the pleasure of meeting Betty at the rummikub game table with Mary and George Corrigan- she was a fierce competitor and fun. We have also shared a passion for supporting young African American children at the Gesu School in North Philadelphia, where Betty has made a huge difference with her generous support. Betty was one of a kind-the BEST KIND!!
With love and admiration

Your Mom was one of the first friends that I made as a vendor at The Devon Horse Show. I looked forward each year to seeing her and to saying hello. Without knowing her and her backround I admired her for her genuine sincerity good will and passions.

I know that she will be missed by her countless friends and you her family. While she will never be with you as you have known her to be may I suggest from experience that mothers never leave us, what they do is prepare us for the day that they are no longer with us. Their counsel, good, bad or indifferent is indelible.

Speak loudly, your Mom still wants to hear; but, more than that, listen attentively because like my own Mom they still want to be heard.

She suffered as you all did in her last years. Please find comfort in knowing that today she dances at His throne in His peace of mind, body and spirit.

I am planning on being with you later today and I will keep you in my daily intentions as you create new identities for yourselves without the Atlantis which was your rock and anchor.

Sincerely,
Gregory Conocchioli

Although I never met Betty, I have great respect for her because of the many wonderful things my deceased husband, Matt Kelly, told me about her. He so enjoyed his time with her and learned a lot about philanthropy from her. Thinking of your entire family and hoping your many wonderful memories give you comfort at this difficult time.

I knew Betty through the Paoli Hospital and Radnor Hunt. She was such a lady, always had a smile. I remember her fox hunting, a member of the gray ladies - those were the days, such fond memories. She is in a better place up there with her cronies, the end of an era. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of this lovely, kind hearted woman. I was very fortunate to have met and interacted her several times over my life. My father, Denny Holl, worked for R.C. Legnini years ago when he helped build the stable at Brushwood, where I was first introduced to Betty. I rode horses, so naturally, I was delighted to be around someone of her equine prowess. I used to run into her from time to time at certain equestrian events, the last being at the Devon horse show about 5 years ago where she grabbed my arm and invited me into the press box in order to keep me from ruining my dress in a sudden downpour. She was truly a special lady, whose presence will be sorely missed.

I only met Betty once a few years ago but she was one of the most admired philanthropists that I ever knew. Please accept condolences from myself and all the members of the Genuardi Family Foundation.

Joan and I are saddened by Betty's demise, and want to extend our sincere condolences to her family. We met Betty and Max many years ago when our children attended St Aloysius Academy and became friends sharing many occasions at home and in Avalon. Close enough
to have the honor of being Caroline's God-Parents. Betty was a real upper and we had many fun times with her and Max. Unfortunately we saw less of Betty after Max died and our families grew and we were all busy going our different ways. We thought of Betty often, over the years, and missed her free spirit and energy and our prayers are with her.

Please add Paoli Hospital as a fingerprint in the message that I just sent. just after UMLY. Her name is on the wall at UMLY and Paoli Hospital.....

Virginia Frame

I knew Betty mostly by her "fingerprints". Walk into the UMLY and you will see her name on the wall. Look in almost any theater playbill and her name will be listed among Patrons. Go down to Radnor Hunt Pony Club and her name will be there too. Betty was instrumental in the formation of RHPC as well as the purchase of the property. I was told that at a fundraiser a young pony clubber asked for a donation. In her take charge way, Betty inquired how much was left on the mortgage, then paid it off. Thank you Betty for your generosity. I will remember you by your "fingerprints".

Kevin and I are deeply saddened by Betty's death, and want to extend our loving condolences to her family. Although I only met Betty once, Kevin knew her well, and we are both indebted to her for the positive impact she has had on our lives. We are humbled by the extreme good and giving nature she possessed. Betty instilled her values in her children, and so her legacy of caring and compassion will live on. What a treasure the world has lost. May she rest in peace.
