ELMER KATZMAR Obituary

KATZMAR
ELMER W., age 88, of Phila-delphia, served in the U.S. Army in WWII. He worked for Louderback Van Lines for 45 years and was the proprietor of El's Tavern. Elmer is the beloved husband of Marilyn A. (nee Haggett); loving father of William Katzmar (Patricia), William News (Linda), Karen Vitable (William), and Jeffrey News. Devoted grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, March 5, 2015, from 9 to 9:50 A.M., and a Religious Service will be at 10 A.M. at Wesley Enhanced Living, 8401 Roosevelt Blvd., Philadelphia PA 19152. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Wesley Enhanced Living Benevolent Fund.

Have many fond memories of Mr. Katzmar while growing up on Fitler Street. Always enjoyed his laugh and sense of humor. My condolences to Bill, Lynn and the entire Katzmar Family.

Marilyn, Bill, Linda and the entire Katzmar and News Families. Ed and I are so sorry to hear about the loss of Elmer. He was a good man. I remember him at our bowling banquet. He had me laughing. We send our thoughts and prayers for all of you.
