DELLHEIM Ernest Jay 1947 – 2025 Ernest Jay Dellheim, of Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 26, 2025. Ernie was an avid skier, fisherman, and photographer, and a well-respected dentist who cared deeply for his patients and community. Known for his generosity and warmth, he gave freely of his time and talents to those around him, enriching the lives of friends, family, and neighbors alike. A proud graduate of Lower Merion High School (Class of 1965) and Union College (Class of 1969), Ernie went on to study dentistry at Temple University and Boston University where he developed the skill and compassion that would define his professional life. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Jane Wolf Dellheim; daughters Lauren (Rob) Ainsworth and Rachel Dellheim; and beloved granddaughters Lucey and Maren. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Nan, and nieces Elizabeth (Miguel) and Molly Dellheim. Ernie was predeceased by his parents, Shirley and Richard Dellheim, and his brother, Jerry Dellheim. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wed., Oct. 29 at Beth David Reform Congregation in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania, with a reception to follow. Shiva will be observed at the late residence on Wednesday and Thursday from 6 P.M. – 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Gladwyne Memorial Cemetery and SHARE Food Program.
