Dear Joanne and family,
I was so saddened by the news. I wanted you to know that we remember fondly the time when Gene worked with the Naprosyn team in Palo Alto as a DM-Live-in... (I was a Product Director responsible for the brand)... Gene was helping us prepare for a big competitor, Voltaren.. He challenged us to be aggressive.... he was an inspiration... and also conveyed a certain level of wisdom which all of us "young ones at the time" benefited from immensely.. Now I want to mention one really hilarious situation.... At a sales meeting.... Gene and Donnie L. showed up in the exact same suit (unbeknownst to one another)... I have never laughed so hard in my life.... well, those that knew Gene, are better for it... he touched many and inspired many... my best wishes for you going forward.

To the Caporeletti family,
I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Gene's death. As a former Syntex colleague we shared many good times when his group was part of the Great Northeast Region. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May you and your family find some comfort in knowing so many people share in your loss.

Please accept my condolences. My husband Bill Granieri and Gene were brothers at APD and Gene was his big brother when Bill joined. Bill and Gene both wrestled under John Rogers. Gene will always be remembered for his fabulous sense of humor and his incredible work ethic and all the people he hired and developed. I knew Gene at Syntex and had many friends at Immunex so got to see him at customer meetings. What a wonderful individual he was and I have spoken to many old friends from Syntex who were so sad to hear this news. God Bless all of his family and I am truly sorry for your loss. He will be remembered by many many people and a smile will always come to us when we think of him.
