Evan Worthington Michener III

Michener Evan Worthington, III Of Maple Glen, PA, passed away at the age of 85 on October 29th, 2022, at Jefferson Abington Hospital at 11:02 P.M. He was preceded in death by, and reunited with, his beloved college sweetheart, Nancy Smith Michener. Evan was the Patriarch of his family and survived by his children, Susan Patterson (James), Evan W. IV, and John Smith Michener (Bridget), as well as his nine grandchildren: Emily and Michael Patterson; Taylor, Abigail, Evan W. V and Georgia Michener; Colin, Gavin, and Mallory Michener. He also leaves behind an adored great-grandson, James Michael Patterson and was proudly awaiting the arrival of two more great-grandchildren this Fall/Winter. Evan was a 1954 graduate of William Penn Charter School and pursued his higher education at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity member and graduate of the Class of 1958. He owned and operated a family run packaging business, incorporated in 1977. An avid golfer, family man, ardent Philadelphia sports fan, longtime highly respected member of Huntingdon Valley Country Club and summer resident of Ocean City, NJ where he owned a family home. He will be greatly missed by countless friends and relatives; of whom are invited to his Funeral Service Monday, Nov. 7th at 11:00 A.M. at Jarrettown United Methodist Church, 1460 Limekiln Pike, Dresher, PA 19025.
