Fred and I were boyhood pals and we rode our bikes together to school. He had a blue bike.
When he was a soda jerk he always gave me big scoops of ice cream. I also remember his Mother and Father. I thin of him often.

I was a volunteer at Holy Redeemer in the 80's when I first met Fred when he was the "TV MAN".....Later, my mother worked in the switchboard there and she said he would always greet them each day with a smile, a joke, or a story. He was such a kind, warm and thoughtful man - how lucky his children and grandchildren were to have him all these years. You have so many memories to cherish I'm sure - RIP Fred.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Reichelt Family as they celebrate the life of Fred. When I think of Mr. Reichelt, I'll always remember him as the best host there ever will be. We usually saw him at his son's house in the Chicago area, and he took great care of us each visit. His family learned well from him as they are all so loving and welcoming to all who cross their path.
"Mom Mom Reichelt" has been with me on my daily prayer walks since her passing, and now Mr. Reichelt has joined our brisk treks through the neighborhood.
With our love, Chuck and Linda Kurtz

Dear John, Nancy and the remaining Reichelt clan, what a wonderful man as you all well know. Your dad always left me with a warm feeling and always recalled how he was so much fun and generous. May God help you and give you strength through this difficult time. You have so many memories to look back on and remember all the good times you all shared.

I have had the honor of knowing Fred for the past two and a half years, seeing him almost every weekday at Ann's Choice. I did not have the honor of knowing Fred's wife, but I sure feel like I did from Fred's stories.

Fred is truly a one of a kind man. I have heard him say over and over again what a wonderful, loving family he has and heard him speak fondly of his wife who passed - giving her all the credit for their wonderful family. His daughter - "the boss" as he calls her, is an amazing woman in Fred's eyes. His son came to see him and help him each morning and his other son, the "big shot" out in Chicago - he is so proud of you all. His ten grandchildren he always brags about, saying how each one of them is so special and all on the honor roll or dean's list. Not one of those 10 grandchildren is trouble to Fred. How did he get so lucky? He asks himself that daily.

I will miss Fred's smile every day and the love that he has for his family will remain in my heart for the rest of my life.

My heart is with his loving family. I pray that each of you feel Fred's love in your heart and know that he is in heaven, smiling down on each of you - today and always.
