A graveside funeral service, with military rites, for Terry U. Reichelt will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Duxby Cemetery.

Terry passed away at his home on September 16, 2025, at the age of 68.

Terry Udell Reichelt was born on August 3, 1957, to Vernon and Leona (Sjaaheim) Reichelt in Scobey, Montana. In 1960 the family moved to Williston, where Terry graduated Williston High School in 1975. While in high school, he was the goalie for the first Williston hockey team. He joined the Navy on November 10, 1975, and was honorably discharged on November 7, 1979. He served on the USS Pensacola LSD-38 as a Grade E5.

After his service, he worked construction in Minneapolis. He later moved to Roseau and purchased a home near where his mom was born and raised.

He was a quiet man of simple needs whose passion was to be an artist. He enjoyed wood carving and iron work.

He is survived by his parents Vernon & Leona Reichelt of Roseau, his brother (Earl) of Florida and Earl's children Richard (Mary) Reichelt and Renee Felice-Matto and their children.

He is also survived by an uncle and aunts Kim (Jeanette) Sjaaheim, Ivy (Donald) Olson, Audrey Anderson, Beverly Hert, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ted & Cecelia (Herling) Sjaaheim and Benny & Selma (Johnson) Reichelt, an infant sister (Verna Lee Reichelt), uncle and aunts: Kenny (Carol) Sjaaheim, Bruce Anderson, Al Hert, Doris (Jim) Vatnsdal, Darlene (Odin) Lisell.
