Danny Galen Stoe of Roseau, MN passed away on September 12, 2025 at the Greenbush Nursing Home in Greenbush, MN at the age of 70.

Danny was born on September 25, 1954 in Roseau, MN to Henry and Audrey (Thompson) Stoe. He grew up on their farm north of Badger and attended Ross school through the 8th grade and graduated from Roseau High School. He was baptized and confirmed in the Concordia Lutheran Church in Ross, MN.

Danny worked at several Roseau lumber yards for many years as well as Intercept Industries and was well-known throughout the community. He was always recognized by his deep boisterous laugh, and people often knew he had arrived by hearing his laugh before seeing him. He enjoyed visiting with people, and hardly a day went by where family members didn't receive a phone call from Danny.

Throughout his life, Danny loved fishing and hunting and the outdoors, and spent many successful days on the lake with friends and family. Danny had many adventures; he once hitchhiked all the way to Seattle to the site of the world's fair. Danny had a gentle spirit and loved animals, especially his cats.

Danny married Marci Roseen on March 15, 1996. They enjoyed traveling together and attending the Renaissance Festival in the Twin Cities each year, inviting their nieces and nephews and gathering them for dinners in the cities.

Later in life, Danny enjoyed driving his Ranger out to the farm in Ross, and around Roseau County. He enjoyed music and culture, frequently attending Northern Lights concerts, and weekly summer music at the gazebo in Roseau.

Danny was a beloved brother to his brothers and sisters and uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his siblings, Warren (Anne) Stoe of Roseau, Judith (Randall) Adamson of Thief River Falls, MN, Roland (Carmie) Stoe of Badger, MN, and Janelle (Troy) Friedrich of Thief River Falls, MN; nieces and nephews Mary Stoe, Carolyn (Luke Oliver) Stoe, Aaron (Julie) Stoe, Landon (Kalie) Adamson, Melissa (Adam) Haviland, Traci (Richard) Anderson, Terry Stoe, Alicia Stoe, Adam (Amy) Stoe, Justin (Elizabeth) Stoe, Samuel (fiancé, Taylor) Friedrich, and Jake Friedrich.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents.
