Frederick V. Brutcher

BRUTCHER
FREDERICK V., 82, retired Professor Emeritus of Wynnewood, PA, formerly of Mansfield, died Tues. June 14, 2005 at the Sunrise Assisted Living of Haverford, PA. He was born December 5, 1922 in Dorchester, MA, son of the late Frederick V. and Violet (Johnson) Brutcher. He was a graduate of Mansfield High School, a graduate of the University of MA with a Bachelor of Science degree and a graduate of Yale University with a Masters and Doctorate degree in Science. He did post graduate work at Harvard University. He had taught Organic Chemistry to the graduate students at the University of PA for 35 years retiring 20 years ago. He had been a resident of PA for the past 55 years and had lived before then in Mansfield for 26 years. He had served with the US Army as a 1st Lt. during WWII. He had been a former communicant of St. Mary's Church of Mansfield. He is survived by 2 cousins, Carol N. Shaw of Medfield and Nancy C. Reks of Mansfield. He was the brother of the late Robert G. Brutcher. A Memorial Service will be held at an undetermined date at the University of Pennsylvania.
