Dear DeFeo Family,
I just learned of Fred's passing. My brother and I grew up in Southwest Philly (68th St). I visited his Dad's store with my friends and later when I attended Bartram I then met him (I am an older grad 1971). He was always there for the students. He will be sorely missed. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear DeFeo family, I met Mr. DeFeo when I attended Bartram Motivation back in 1978-1982. He was an exceptional teacher and mentor to the Class of 1982. Mr. DeFeo taught us high school mathematics, but he also help us develop a love for life . He had a great sense of humor and at times help us to endure formulas and calculations. Despite his health problems he endured, he came back stronger and more determined. He was a great role model to many students and faculty of John Bartram High School.

DeFeo Family;
Startled, and disbelief right now, I've known Fred and considered him a friend since grade school. We would talk from time to time at his Dad's store. He will be sadly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to each and every one of your family. May God bless and keep you all close to him.
