Jerry was in charge of Lanier Playground when I was a kid living in the Tasker Homes in the 60's. He was a great guy who loved kids and was a wonder role model.

Condolences to the Rullo family. I worked with Jerry at Taney and Pine playground in the late '60's. Jerry was loved and respected by all. He served as a role model for the kids in the Schuykill neighborhood with his acceptance of and respect for all, patience, and gentle manner. Jerry, it was an honor to know you, to work for you and to learn from you. May you rest in eternal peace.

There are so many tributes to Jerry Rullo that depict a life so well lived. I remember Uncle Jerry stopping by to see my Grandmother Isabelle (married to his brother Fred) at her house on Glenolden. He regularly visited decades after she was widowed. Uncle Jerry taught us not only to be kind but to be generous with your time. His commitment to family and his faith was evident. A class act and true gentleman, he will be greatly missed.
