Dick and Hazel Hayes and family
July 16, 2012
George was my Ship Mate on the USS Mt. McKinley in the Navy. One weekend he took me home with him. I met a beautiful girl named Hazel. She is Marcia's sister. Both of us married sisters, and we were Ship Mates and Brothers-In-Law for life! My fond name for George was "Mook 1" and I became "Mook 2". It was just a funny name between the two of us. After having kids, we lived closer and got together more often when the kids were small. Then my career with United Air Lines caused us to move away. We were able to fly in from California two years ago to celebrate George and Marcia's 50th Wedding Anniversary. It was a great time to be surrounded with loved ones (especially George and Marcia)! George was kind-hearted, very humorous, a good provider and a true friend. All my family and I will miss him dearly. We will look for that day when we will see him again, when we reach those heavenly shores. Our hearts go out to Marcia and the children, as we know the days ahead will be tough, and we hope our prayers will sustain them. God Bless,

Pop, what can impossibly say to express my gratitude to you. My husband is a funny, wonderful hard working man who loves to learn and help others, he gets that from the amazing men that raised him. You have no idea the impact you have made on him, everything i love about him makes it easy for me to see why mom mom loves you so much. I don't know what I'm gonna do without you when mike floods our basement and I can't yell at him to call you! I'm gonna miss so many things and even though I'll never forget the sound of your voice or your smart comments, I am sad that I'll never get them again. You have left such a whole in so many hearts, I can see it in your families faces, it's chest crushing that I can't help them. But I can't blame them
Either, so cheers to an amazing man! Who loved, and will forever be loved. I miss you crumb face! I love you and most importantly I'm proud of you!
Love always, Jennifer Benezet.

To the Benezet Family: I know your family will truly miss "Pop." Debbie has told me he was a happy sort of fella who could brighten a room with his smile. Take comfort in the closeness of your family. My thoughts are with you all.
